My works are mostly characterized by long-term, complex photo projects, in which I examine the mechanisms of the memory culture and the attitude-processing attitude of our region (Eastern Europe). When creating my photo series, I place great emphasis on the collector's background work and research, which helps to deepen and authenticate the creative process.
In the final visual representation of my subjects, I also strive to create a more complex photographic language, either by mixing elements of photographic style cues or by using different imaging tools together.

The meeting of man, space and time in one place, a frame, within which the image is created, a visual phenomenon in different forms, planes and dynamics. It is in this framework that I have to find the story, which I reflect on with my camera, where I look at it from a distance.
Where does the story begin and how long does it last? Do we always have to tell a story, or is it enough to contemplate, pass through our own filters what is happening? I look for answers to these questions in the movies I create.

I graduated in media in Cluj-Napoca, I studied photography, film, image, text, camera, film development techniques. Willingly or unwillingly, but I always see the world in pictures, the pictures are always with me, I like to look at them, to look at the world, if it turns out, I can capture what I see. Be it a black and black film or digital machine, photo albums or mobile phone-centric Instagram but sooner or later I’ll end up with pictures. I want to deal with them more in the future. For me, a good photo is about a man and just one picture tells a whole big story.

Messengers
Signs of transcendence. Lonely metal towers stretch over the houses. They transmit signals and messages to each other. Maybe one is just saying, I love you. Or: don’t leave the lights on when you go. Alternatively, the subscriber to the called number cannot be connected. They talk with digital, silent codes, soundless and invisible like angels. We don't understand them directly. My cell phone only hears what the tower is saying and when they search for me, it rings.
Loudspeakers were mounted on other towers, and when the time came for prayer, they shouted aloud: Allah akbar. Five times a day, the speakers are howling, I can hear it, I can understand it, but I'm not going, I'm shaking my ear.

Someone lives behind every window. Behind every window is a long story. Not only is it difficult to see, but it is sometimes difficult to see. In a noisy, grungy city, there seems to be silence behind the walls. What stories unfold minute by minute? What can those who live in grid-framed, masonry interiors made of cable bundles tell each other?

One of the basic activities of man is search. We research a specific object, a solution to a problem or a feeling, a starting point. Understanding people's behavior and way of thinking has always been a concern. Isn’t it really how you search, but what it might look like? What is it like to grab at different stages of a self-search process, and ultimately, what do you need to move on?
In my series, I have shown self-search as a constant process, its different phases. The faces of my characters are intentionally overexposed, as their personality is irrelevant, it is merely the relationship between their shape and the space attached to them that matters.
Piti Marcell
“Marci Piti thinks in series, the creation and shaping of which is sometimes a process that takes years. The main elements of his groups of images are photographs, more precisely: images taken by someone with a camera, but with layers placed on the exhibition wall, the photo book format or even objects placed in space, he also likes to push the two-dimensional boundaries of the photograph.
In his works, one can feel the classic knowledge of photography, his attraction to experimentation and reflection on the photographic medium. One after another, he makes a series of recordings that hide his own personal emotions, present and observe the indifferent atmosphere of the phenomena observable in the present Hungarian society, but the connection between man and the landscape, man and his environment is a common element in all his works.
